Businessman Ekrem Cahit Gocay continues to maintain his unity with the automobiles he has had unforgettable moments in different periods of his life thanks to his collection. We chose two very special models in Gocay's collection for you.

“Rolls-Royce Phantom V

Rolls Royce Phantom V, was firstly introduced in 1959. 516 units were produced from this model until 1968. Phantom V, which was produced based on Silver Cloud II, has the same V8 engine and automatic transmission as Silver Cloud II. The four-speed transmission in the car was one of the most advanced options of the time. It has had an important strengthening work for its chassis to support the long body. The weight of the car reaches three tones. Phantom V, which was modified in 1963, draws attention with its renewed fenders and headlights. The doors open backwards for the ones to sit on the back of the car to get in and out more easily. It suspension system consists of spirals on the front and leave springs on the back for presenting comfortable journeys. The brakes were preferred as drum brakes.

Among those who used the automobile, which was preferred by the royal members especially because it is produced in a very small number and is a symbol of prestige, there are Queen Elizabeth II, her mother and King of Norway (1962). John Lennon is also among those who preferred Phantom.

“Mercedes 280SL

SL, considered one of the two most important Mercedes models, was one of the most innovative and comfortable cars of its time. At the top of the brand is 300SL Gullwing. SL, firstly introduced in the year 1963, symbolizes the sporty direction of Mercedes. The second-generation SL also became famous as 'Pagoda' due to the bow on the roof. The coupe model's crown is made up of downhill sloping lines, rising to the gate. The SL letters are made up of the words 'Sport Leicht' which means Sport and Light.

There are three selections as 230SL, 250SL and 280SL from SL series. This beautiful and coupe 280SL, which is on the photo, is still exciting and desireful, despite the 40 years of time passed. You only need to pull a specially constructed arm to open the soft ceiling.
